1. What is your strongest work (technically)? Why?

My strongest work is High Key Low Key. This is because both of the ideas in my photos were well  thought out and executed in my final work. My High Key photo depicts the fun and enthusiastic side that people see, and my Low Key shows how I really see myself as a self conscious and antisocial person. The photos are also very clear and edited well to align with either high key or low key. By using either a black or white background along with editing the photos to be black & white, the view can see the deep contrast between how others see me and how I see myself.

2. What is your most meaningful work? Why?

My most meaningful work is the cookbook photos. The cookbook very meaningful for me because my dad cooked traditional Polish cabbage rolls that were passed down from his great grandmother. Because these cabbage rolls have a story behind them it made cooking and interviewing with my dad very meaningful. Taking the photos of my dad making the cabbage rolls and the final product was a very memorable experience and this project has a lot of importance to me.

3.What is your weakest work? what could you have done to make this better?

My weakest work is the word of the week Identity. The idea of this photo was not well thought out and the photo is uninteresting. The photo seems very last minute and rushed. To make this photo better I could have taken this photo with a more interesting background or with a human character present. This would have added more information to the photo and would make it fit with the word Identity better.

4. Of these works, how could you take one of them and expand it into a series of multiple works (similar theme and technique).

I could take my High Key Low Key work and expand it into a series of works. One way I could do this is by doing other contrasting things in my life. For example, I could take a photo of what I need to do vs what I want to do. The High Key photo could be what I want to do and the Low Key photo could be what I need to do.
