Power is the capacity or ability to influence the behavior of others or the course of events. In society these day our lives are found in our cellphones. The desire to keep an appearance of popularity or whatever you want to portray about yourself on social media can be controlling of all of your actions. Every post, tweet, and message is reflective of how you want to appear to others and what others think about you can be a very powerful and motivating source.

In my photograph, I put pictures of social media apps on a plain wall for the background. My character is holding a phone which is tied to her hands with cords. The phone has the background of the welcome screen when you first start up your iPhone. The character is controlled by the power of her phone and social media. This is represented by her hands being tied to the phone and the social media app photos surrounding the photo and her hands.

 

If I was to re shoot I would use more pictures of social media apps and would have taped the social media apps from the back. The part of tape is slightly visible for the pinterest app.
