Everything in life always seems to be moving in order. Though most things in life are under our control, some parts we have no say in. People may desire to control these aspects of their life, but there is only so much they can do to delay the processes. People are scared of growing old, and I shot this idea in my photo.

In my photograph, I used a plain wall as the background. I hung a happy birthday banner along the wall and had my model hold a clock up in front of her face. The happy birthday banner represents aging and the clock represents the passage of time. Aging and time are both processes are that go in order and cannot be controlled.

An obstacle I encountered while shooting was that the birthday sign and clock both had a glare when I shot with flash. Also, if I was going to re shoot I would add more objects to represent the passage of time such as calendars.
